The first version of AviList was published in June 2025 and is free to anyone. The list will be updated annually.
- AviList paper published
In June 2025, Biodiversity and Conservation accepted for publication our paper “AviList: a Unified Global Bird Checklist”. This paper describes why AviList was needed, what the process and governance of the list entails, and formally introduces AviList as the Global Bird Checklist.
